Worlds 2022 Quarterfinals: JDG Defeated RGE in a Clean Sweep 3:0

The match between JDG and RGE was held today in the Quarterfinals for the Worlds 2022. In the end, JDG swept RGE 3:0, becoming the first team to advance to the Semifinals.

In game one of the match, the two sides were closely matched initially. Then, JDG’s jungler Kanavi saw an advantage over his counterpart and took Rift Herald twice, JDG’s top laner 369 also had excellent performance in team fights, allowing JDG to secure an easy victory in this round.

In game two, RGE didn’t get back to form. One of the pivotal moments took place at 28 minutes, when JDG had far better focus fire as RGE was not properly grouped, allowing JDG to quickly kill RGE’s Odoamne and destroy RGE’s nexus.

In game three, initially, the JDG’s ADC and Support in the bottom lane were eliminated. But following that, JDG 369 killed his enemy in the top lane in a 1v1. At 32 minutes, JDG’s Ornn triggered a team fight decisively, helping JDG kill three of RGE’s champions and secure a victory in both the game and the match.

JDG will face the winner of the match between T1 and RNG, which will take place on October 22nd.
