The match between EDG.M and XYG was held yesterday for the Lower Round 1 in the KPL Summer Playoffs. The forecast before the match favored XYG, but, in the end, EDG.M secured a victory against XYG 4:2, returning to the Playoff stage after 1,002 days.
In game one, at seven minutes, EDG.M Roc on Lu Ban No.7 dealt high damage and achieved a triple kill. With his brilliant performance, EDG.M secured an easy victory in this round.
In game two, XYG saw a gold lead of 6k by 11 minutes. In the decisive team fight, XYG Luna took out Jia Luo, helping XYG ace EDG.M and take the win in this round.
In game three, XYG Xihe launched team fights decisively and ended on 1/1/16. He became a key element in XYG’s victory in this round.
In the next round, EDG.M came back with the excellent performance of Yanmeng. At 11 minutes, EDG.M killed Juggernaut, expanding the gold gap to 5k. They took the win in this round and brought the match to a tie of 2:2.
In game four, EDG.M Yanmeng earned the MVP Award.
Then, in round five, EDG.M Ming on Mai Shiranui outperformed his enemies and played an active role in team fights, helping EDG.M secure a victory in this round.
In the next round, EDG.M didn’t give their opponent much of a chance. EDG.M Ming on Wang Zhaojun once again dominated the game, and his team won the match 4:2.
