On June 25th Beijing time, the first Olympic Esports Week came to a close. In the Virtual Taekwondo competition, Chinese athlete Wu Jingyu, a two-time Olympic champion, won the bronze medal. This is also the first medal that China has won in Olympic Esports history.

Wu Jingyu lost in the semi-finals to Natalie Tor from Singapore with a score of 0-2 and missed the finals. In the bronze medal match, Wu Jingyu defeated Nur Tatar, a Turkish athlete who won one silver and one bronze medal in the Olympics, with a score of 2-0.
